Mel Judah?
I'm watching the 1997 WSOP right now on ESPN -- my favorite one -- and I got to wondering what ever happened to Mel Judah. I haven't heard peep about that guy in years.
And oh man.. Stuey. What a friggin loss. Every second of footage of that guy is priceless. Can you imagine if he was on HSP nowadays? What a legend. I love it when he reminds Gabe that he beat Stuey for $200k in a pot with a higher straight 15 years prior. |

Re: Mel Judah?
I guess we could all go to the Hendon mob. But going on memory (decent memory anyway) Mel got heads up at a WPT event against Paul Phillips. He kept going all in againt Paul preflop. Paul kept folding, finally called one and then Paul beat him.
I really want to say Mel won a WPT event as well. |

Re: Mel Judah?
You're thinking of Dewey Tomko repeatedly going allin against Phillips, and then Phillips eventually calling and busting Tomko to win. Judah won Legends in 2003 against Phillips.
Edit for year change. |

Re: Mel Judah?
The WPT event where somebody kept going all in against Paul P. heads-up was Dewey Tomko. Mel Judah beat Paul P. when he went all in after rivering the higher end of a 4 card straight. Paul took a long time to call thinking there was no way Mel would have played his hand like that.

Re: Mel Judah?
Yes, you guys are absolutly right. I kept thinking that he beat PP heads up. But I was picturing the Tomko PP deal.
Thanks Mel has made 2 WPT FT's though right? |

Re: Mel Judah?
Mel has made 2 WPT final tables correct, Judah's 2nd final table was at the Bellagio (featuring Tomko v Phillips).
