I got a speeding ticket in NY

I was going 88 in a 65 on I-81, on the way home from Turning Stone. I live in Maryland, so I have to do all the paperwork by mail.

Anyone have any ideas how much this is going to cost me? I googled a lot of different stuff but didn't really find anything...also since this is my first speeding ticket, am I going to get points or have increased insurance or anything?

Just pay out of state tickets and they will not show up on license/insurance reports. This works in NY anyway.

If you do not pay, NY will have Maryland suspend your license and then you will need to worry about points.

If you have a yellow ticket, they should let you know the fine on the back, it varies based on miles per hour over the limit.

What about insurance? Like I said I've never had a ticket or been arrested or anything.

i dont think insurance finds out because they dont go on your record

I paid $155 for doing 81mph in a 65 on an interstate in western NY.

I've heard from a few different people that if you're out of state and pay the fine in NY your insurance company never finds out about it.

Not to be mischevious, but I've heard that the person running the gun from the plane has to sign the ticket or its void in court.
