Deep against iCHECKDARK, turn 2 concealed pair.
He's a very good and aggressive 2p2 TAG, running 25/19 in this session. We've been tangling a lot on 2 different tables, both fairly deepstacked, and he recently stacked me for 2 buyins with a set over set. But, I haven't been tilting, and I assume he realizes as much.
So on the turn I hit one of my outs, but I'm obviously concerned about the possibility of a higher set/2pr for him. Whats the best line out of this situation? Re: Deep against iCHECKDARK, turn 2 concealed pair.
You probably have the best hand at the moment so I think I'd continue betting here. Since you guys are pretty deepstack and he didnt reraise you back preflop, I'm guessing he was calling with a drawy type of hand. The board looks pretty drawy too so you can't afford giving a free card.

Re: Deep against iCHECKDARK, turn 2 concealed pair.
I woudl be way more concerned about JT then I would a set against iCD here. People must try to trap him all the time with a CR here, so I like to just bet. River could easily counterfeit you and there's a lot of cards you hate, and you can't be happy with a river raise from iCD either even if river is a total blank.
I like a full pot bet, and flip a coin to see whether or not you call a push. |

Here's a question. How likely is he willing to cold call with JJ, JT, TT or 55 in his position, given the stack sizes?

Re: Deep against iCHECKDARK, turn 2 concealed pair.
If stacks were only 1 buyin I would usually check the turn, but being so deep I would probably bet about 400 planning to fold to a raise and reevaluate on the river if called.

c/r and fold to a 3 bet [/ QUOTE ] will - you don't think he pushes AA to a cr? basically you have to decide if you're felting against this player (and I don't know him). if you are you have to lead turn to try to get it in (unless he folds all but jt/set to turn lead). if not, cr fold to 3 bet or lead fold to raise are correct, depending on if he bets and folds qq-aa to a cr. |

Re: Deep against iCHECKDARK, turn 2 concealed pair.
Since iCD is a very aggressive player, I doubt that he would try to trap and call with AA or KK preflop when both players' stacks are so big, especially when he only cold calls the flop.
