Default QTo Free showdown?

The free showdown raise hasn't been a big part of my arsenal. I can see the value in using it though, so I'm trying to find spots to use it more.

Villain was 20.6/8.8/3.00 ~35 Hands

Charge FD and possibly get at better Q to fold.

Do you fold the turn? Do you just calldown?

I don't like it. Is he ever folding a better hand? I doubt it. Is he giving up on a busted draw on the river? I also doubt it.

This is the answer to your question. You have raised on such an unthreatening card that your raise is completely illegitimate.

Here is a good spot :

Guy calls PF, Hero raises 88, folds to guy, heads up to flop :

Flop - 45J
Guy donks, Hero calls

Turn - K
Guy donks, Hero raises

Gotcha. I posted the hand because I thought it probably wasn't a good spot for this play.

Do you show this hand down against this opponent?

I'm not following you about giving up on a busted draw on the river.

If he'll bet the river with a busted draw we don't need to raise the turn to "charge" him since he charges himself.

I would probably fold this river if he bet (whether you raised or not).

I think it is highly unlikely that you beat anything other than TJ (Villain my have AJ / AT but I think these should be somewhat discounted).

I wouldn't imagine he would bluff the river again with AT / AJ as you may have been on a flush draw yourself or already have him beat. I would imagine however that you would have some read on your opponent. He seems overly tight, and overly aggressive which is another reason I would discount a gutshot playing this way (I think a better play in his spot is just to call and hope for an overcall on the flop, if he makes his hand try for a bet/3-bet the turn).
