Default 5/10 NL live and deep, play along

I have 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in LP.

Smart LAG player (opens alot of junk, plays alot of flops, but isn't throwing money away in big pots) who covers me opens for $55. Weakish player (won't open raise without JJ+, limps AK, generally just bets with the goods but over values top pair hands) calls and hero calls.

The flop ($180) is K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4x

PF checks, opponent one bets $300, hero?

Weakish player has around $1500

The flop bettor has 1500?

I'd raise to 750

If he pushes, it's not so bad

Raise to whatever amount gives you the most folding equity, and he doesn't fold, hit on him. I think an overbet push here ina live game might be most effective since it is a lot less commonly used there than online.

First say, "hmm, that's quite an overbet". Then say, "Here's an overbet right back at ya".......and push.

so a non-aggressive player overbets the pot and you think he overvalues tptk type hands. Is that right?

So our most likely holding for him is something like AK or KQ. I understand that by pushing here we get some fold equity and we're probably the favorite to win if we get called 5+9 or so outs...maybe slightly less.

but if we call and spike a 3 or a 4 we're probably going to stack him.

if we call and get our flush we can expect to atleast get some more value out of him.

I guess its really just a question of how much fold equity you have. Is he really going to fold tptk here?

I called.

PF raiser made it $1000. Flop better folds. Your move?

I honestly think his range here is a set, AK or AA. Depending on your read (also largely based on his betting patterns) you have to shove or fold. If he is any good he'll fold AA and AK (which you are even with anyway). At least you are 25% or so against a set.

Does he often check raise when he flops a set as pf raiser? Looks to me more like someone trying to take the pot down right there. I'd push.
