Re: 27: Set on favorable flop?
If is bluffing or has an 8, he folds to raise here. I am hoping he hits something (not too much) or discredits me on the turn.

Re: 27: Set on favorable flop?
I do not play nearly as many STTs as the people around here, but is open limping 88 in the HJ a common play?

Re: 27: Set on favorable flop?
Raise to price in weak Aces...never fear draws...fear cards on the turn that might complete draws if you raised and get called like in this case any 4,5,6,9,10 or Jack could be a potential scare card for you...In either case raise the flop, if called pot the turn, take it from there.

Re: 27: Set on favorable flop?
It seems as tho you might be gunshy from not getting action on sets recetnyl or something, but thinking about getting value from an 8 or a bluff isn't close to your top priority in this hand. I raise here 90% of the time.

[/ QUOTE ] With that being the case, how much push back does it take to drop them PF? ex. 3.5x raise from btn, hero? Obviously we are looking to flop a set cheaply, but what is our action on a flop of 247? 24T? if no one has shown any agression? I'm looking to possible play more STTs as I move over from limit. I currently have only played 210.. so I have a bunch to learn still! |

[/ QUOTE ] If he has something that folds to a raise on the flop then I can't imagine there are many turn cards that would make him want to continue, know what I mean? Raising here is mandatory because nobody folds an ace or a straight draw here so build the pot so you can get all their chips. |
