Default Blind battle with Bigbab

Bigbab is like 40/30/3 sorta maniacal postflop and we have tangled a lot mostly with me 3 betting him and him retaliating by capping light and spewing.

He opens in the SB which he has done every time its folded to him, I 3 bet in BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and he calls.

Flop is 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] he check/calls.

Turn is 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] he checks I check behind. (???)

River is 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] he checks I value bet, he checkraises, I quickly call.

He does this against everybody, so don't think you're special.

Looks good, though betting turn and calling down from there is also a viable option. Just don't fold.

I think betting the turn intending to call down a checkraise is a pretty close decision here. But overall I think you played it fine.

the main reason that I think you can bet the turn here is because you can value bet a lot of rivers if called. If you can't checking is the play imo. However, I don't think its really a mistake to check, especially if he'll bluff the river pretty frequently. Since his range is so wide, a ton of his hands will lack showdown value at the river, so it would be great if all those hands bluffed.

If I bet the turn I would call down if raised. The way you played it I like the river bet and call.

Expert river line vs him but I'd bet turn intending to call down.

I think vs him I prefer to bet/call down the turn and then bet/call the river if he just calls the turn. With weaker Ace highs and King highs I would check behind on the turn.

Every street is standard IMO. If I bet that river, I am never folding this strong of a hand to this guys check/raise.
