Default Advice on a 7 stud tournament

any adivce would be greatly appreciated

i am trying to set up a limit 7 stud tournament, and was hoping for some advice on the structure, starting stacks, etc. We have 11 people, and want the tournament to last, say, 3-5 hours, nice stacks and blind structure that prevents a outright gamble fest.

is tournament 7-stud played with a sb and bb? or is it ante's and a bring in only?

thanks alot

Stud is rarely played with blinds, and never by sensible people. There's a reason they've used antes and bring-ins in casinos for as long as anyone can remember--it works.

Here's a sample tournament structure. Start with T800 or T1000:

Ante Bring-in Limits
15* 5 15/30
5 10 30/60
10 15 50/100
15 25 75/150
25 25 100/200
25 50 150/300
50 75 200/400
50 100 300/600
100 200 500/1000

*Dealer antes for table. If you're using a real dealer, use a button, but use the button only for determining who antes.

Make the rounds a half-hour or so. I'm guessing it will end on about the 300/600 level. With 11k in play, two players would have less than 10 BB each, and that's just a couple of hands.
