Default HSP Season 1 > Season 2

Have been rewatching season one and I really miss the class of the first few episodes. Forrest, Doyle, Harman, a more subdued DN, Barry G, Alaei, Farha. There is a lot of subtle, nuanced play going on, and the players comport themselves like real professionals.

Season two I believe has too many 'TV Donkament Stars'. DN also dominates the season, he is uber hyper, always bantering, doing his Minh thing, bickering with Mike. It's just a bit too much DN for me, it's almost like it is his show since he's always present. For me the highlight of season two is Laak, he seems like a cool guy and keeps his game very tight and intelligent. I like his approach to this particular game. So, Season 1 = 10/10 for me, Season 2 = 7/10. Still love the show every week though.

DN was also in every episode of Season 1, IIRC. He was just quieter, probably b/c he was losing.

I agree that last season was a little better, but I expect this season to pick up, now that Barry, Doyle, etc. have joined the game. Gus should be fun to watch next week, as well.

Yeah I miss the old greats like Farha and Forrest. They definitely need to kick out the big lucky tournament winners with lots of cash.

I have to agree. I could really do without Antonio, Mizrachi, and Laak. More Farha, Deeb, Forrest, and even Dr. Nasseri please!

Maybe even a little Stupak for fun.

DN will get far more interesting to watch as the shows go on this season.

No, I like season 2 a lot. The first episode wasn't that great. The others have been good.
