$25 HU. Missed river value bet!
HI. I have decided to make the switch from Lim to NL. I play short handed. I have played limit for about 18 months and built a reasonable bankroll. I have decided to start over again. I am doing this because I want to learn a game from the bottom up using a more thorough approach than I had to my limit game.
This hand was against an unknown and was one of the last hands before the table totally broke up. I am missing value on the river. This was a porblem with my limit game also. what sized river bet should I be making? Am I folding to a raise of the same bet size? Absolute Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 2 players Converter Stack sizes: SB: $20.05 Hero: $19.92 Pre-flop: (2 players) Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB calls, Hero raises to $0.4, SB calls. Re: $25 HU. Missed river value bet!
I don't think a bet is necessary here, but if you do, $8-$10 seems like a good amount.

Re: $25 HU. Missed river value bet!
flop c/r isn't the standard line, usually lead because your prob WA/WB. If you do c/r, make it bigger than a minraise. Turn is fine. River, I don't hate a check/call, the pot is fairly large. Unless you have a read that SB is calling down with any ace, I think checking this river is fine. Reads on SB?
