12 tabler friendly Caribbean resort?
Say I had a house, or three, on a peaceful Caribbean island. Its nicely furnished, with all the standard amenities.... Plus, is has high speed DSL, two or three of those Dell 2100s, nice ergonomic chair & desk, fast PC, in case you don't want to bring your own. While you stay there, you get VIP discounts at the local dive/snorkel/etc shops, and gourmet restaurants.
Would you come stay for a month? What amenities would you expect? I've met players here who come down, on vacation, stay in the most expensive hotel on the island... maybe find the good tour guides, and restaurants, and maybe not... and they play poker on the little monitors in the cyber cafe. If there's a market, I can do better for them. Any interest? suggestions? This could be ready by Thanksgiving, if the demand is there. |

12 tabling while on vacation instead of enjoying the vacation. I'm sure there are some sick enough to do it.

Re: 12 tabler friendly Caribbean resort?
The first time I played poker "on vacation", I stayed three weeks, and played maybe 2 hours/day. I didn't have the money to stay so long without playing poker. It wasn't long... no, it wasn't anytime at all, before I decided to relocate.

[/ QUOTE ] Since I can take my 'job' with me wherever I please I do actually play online on my vacations. I'm taking at least 5 or 6 trips out of town per year though. the guy with the house is looking at people who are interested in coming down for a month or two. So it could be a great vacation, but getting some work in so that you can actually stay more than just a few days wouldn't necessarily make you an online-poker 'addict.' To the OP - I probably wouldn't do this right now but only because there are a bunch of other places I'll be traveling to first. Maybe in a year or two. I suspect you wouldn't have a tough time finding other 2+2'ers who would be interested. |
