I've been to Lucky Chances a few times and the game that you would probably want to play there is the 1-1-2. It is a 200 max buyin game, basically the same as 1/2NL. The two differences are that the button post a small blind, and that it is technically a 200 max bet. Even though it is a 200 max, I don't think it does that much to change the dynamic of the game, since the stack sizes wont be that big, in large part because most people buy in for 100.
The rake is 4+1 on any flop. On weekends the place can get pretty packed and you might have to wait upwards of 45 minutes (I think particularly Friday and Saturday nights).

Lucky Chances is actually in Colma, and fortunately for you, about 2 blocks from the Colma bart station. I think they have a shuttle from bart, but it is definitely a walkable distance.

not exactly sure why there is almost no no limit in northern california, but I remember a thread a while back that addressed that... something about the age of the casino or something like that was needed to get a permit to spread no limit.

Well, first of all there are like a million threads on poker in the Bay Area so you might want to check them out. Suggested search term: <"bay area"> but I haven't tried it and honestly I don't recall if this forum does quotes or not in its search. Try Google (site:twoplustwo.com) instead.

Second, if $4-200 spread limit is a good enough similulation, start with the closest cardroom to SF and work your way out. If that's not a good enough simulation, you may need to be prepared to go a ways out of SF. I don't recall offhand though (I'm not a West Coast local either).

Third, how will you know who's closest? Because PokerWiki has a helpful map of the Bay Area.

One other difference from Foxwoods is the $4 bring-in bet. You can not limp for $2.

It may be two blocks, but they are loooooong blocks. If it's hot, it's a long walk. The shuttle is every 30-minutes or a taxi is $6 or $7.

There are no legal card rooms in San Francisco. Lucky Chances, in Colma, with it's 1-1-2, 4-200 spead limit, 40-200 buy-in is going to be the closest to a 1-2 NL near BART.
