How long on replies from senators?

Ok so i emailed the Texas Senators a couple days ago and im wondering how long it took for some of yall to get replies esspecially from those from Texas Senators. I am hopin to have time to respond to nonanswers and to comments made.

I emailed my US Rep the day after she voted yea on the bill. The crickets are still chirping.

i emailed three senators on monday, july 17 and still no word from any of them.

It can take awhile folks. Realize that every CSPAN junkie, political activist, and anyone with too much time on their hands is sending form letters to their Reps/Senators on basically every issue (thank you Internet). Plus some offices only respond with actual letters instead of emails. This takes quite a bit of time.

Senators receive hundreds of thousands of correspondence pieces per year (email/fax/letter/call) and while I'm sure they would love to respond in a number of days, it normally isn't possible.

Most probably try for a two-three week turn around, but at the end of a busy month, or series of months such as we are at now, there could be a back log.

I don't think it is rude at all to give them a week or so and make a call asking the status.

yeah i wasnt tryin to be rude about it..just tryin to get a timeframe for when i should hear back from them

What, like a week ago? No surprise.

Most offices won't reply to an email with an email. Just won't happen. You usually get to wait for snail mail.

Three? If they ain't "yours," you're unlikely to hear anything. Besides, you certainly will not get a response in four days. More like two weeks, if you're lucky.
