Hero Checks

Here I bet (with the intention of folding to a raise) on the turn, he calls so I check the river. . . thoughts? I check becasue I'm thinking its 50/50 he has an A with a better kicker or a pocket pair (since flop had no draws and he 3 bet me, he probably has at least a pair).

Man, you have to love all those PF calls. Am I wrong or is there something just bad about that. Not your hand necessarily but just in general. The 3 bet is where I probably go into C/c mode just because these are classic fishy hands where you got into the pot for one reason and are staying in for another. Maybe thats why I am weak tight

I donk the flop. If Button raises there I call down. You have a BD flush draw and straight draw and hidden outs if behind.

You don't need to raise the flop. This is WA/WB.

Villain likely isn't calling down a flop raise with hands you beat, and there is nothing to protect from. Moreover, he raised preflop and bet the flop. There is a very good chance you are beat.

Hmm, so with WAWB, should I bet/fold the river? (assuming I only just called the flop, and turn). I'm just trying to clarify the WAWB line. (does it need to include Bet/fold on the end?)

Generally, you do want to bet out on the end because you get value from hands that would have checked through (hands like PP) and a raise is unlikely to be a hand that beats you.

This isn't always the best option in WA/WB hands. Sometimes a c/c or b/c is better.

For instance, if you had something like KK on a A9732 board, there are some opponents that you will never get value from by betting (they will fold all PP and call with aces)... but they may well bet TT-QQ if you check so c/c is the best line.

yeah i agree, if you raised the flop, then it's a bet fold on the river, not a check/call

I think the PF call is a little thin. Limping AXs is fine if the table conditions are right and you expect a lot of limpers, but 2 off the button here (with only one limper) I think it's raise or fold, and I'd fold it most of the time.
