NL 400 JT 2 pair
Table is kinda wild as the big stack is an 83/5. Villain is new to the table, I have no stats on him, so assume standard PP NL400 player. I continuation bet a lot, Villain may or may not know this. Plan here? Does the plan change if there were no flush draw?
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) converter Hero ($410.10) Button ($394) SB ($275.10) BB ($1077.12) UTG ($564) Preflop: Hero is MP with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $2. 1 fold, Hero raises to $14, Button calls $14, 1 fold, BB calls $10. Re: NL 400 JT 2 pair
This is a very tough spot. I think this comes down to your read on him and how he has played previous hands. Does he use position well? Does he raise his draws? Could he have Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] here?
He probably has a very loose calling range on the button. If you think you are ahead or he is drawing, I would consider calling and then getting it on a blank turn. The problem is, there are soooooo many ugly turn cards. I think 3 betting here is very bad as you would either be behind to a made hand or behind a big draw, so i would probably call/fold/raise in that order. |

Re: NL 400 JT 2 pair
Fold.
You are even money against a draw like AJ diamonds. And well behind any other hand. |
