thoughts on play in a new casino poker room
A brand new casino will open in November in French Lick Indiana. This will give folks in the Indy area their first casino that is less than 2 hours away.
I'm an internet semi-pro who multi tables 5-10 and 3-6. I have not played live much but was wondering if the games will be so soft at first that I just can't pass them up?! Any thought?... |

Re: thoughts on play in a new casino poker room
If you can multi table 5/10 and are a winning player, you can easily play 20/40 limit Live and crush the games. Be aware, low limit poker in a casino is nothing like the same limit online.

even with my lack of live skills?
I have stayed away from live games cause i figured my skill set was geared toward online play. Are the low limit casino games that soft?

Are the low limit casino games that soft? [/ QUOTE ] oh yeah. You should play 20/40 at Casesars Indiana if you are ever down there. 10/20 is a great game too that is usually very wild. |

Re: thoughts on play in a new casino poker room
Do you really think all these new players will just suddenly sprout holdem skillz? Kind of like in the movie Footloose where no one in the town can dance, until they get to have a dance. Now everyone is suddenly dance-fever doing all the modern moves.
You'd still make more online multitabling. But live just rocks! However, it's likely they won't have limits above 10-20 to start out. b |

[/ QUOTE ] The toughest thing you'll face switching from multitable to live single table is boredom. Going from 200+ hands/hr to about 40 is quite a change. Which could cause you to play too many hands which will erode your edge. It could also be a minor problem if you rely on PT too much. You will have to learn how to analyze/profile people on your own. Which usually fills up the downtime between playable hands. b |
