will i be able to get max resolution with this monitor?
i am thinking of getting the dell 2007fp or the samsung 204b, but as of right now my computer only lets me go as high as 1280x1024. so i am wondering if this is only becasue that is as high as my curent monitor can go, or if that is as high as my computer is capable of going. all i have is integrated video (no graphics card) if that helps.

I don't know how to tell internally what the bottle-neck is on your resolution. I bet it's the video card.
What kind of monitor are you using? Look up the specs on your mobo; see what it's max resolution is. -Sam |

Re: will i be able to get max resolution with this monitor?
Bottlenecks on resolution are the RAMDAC on the video card. However, almost all video cards can do 1600x1200 with ease. The problem most likely lies with outdated monitor or video card drivers.

Re: will i be able to get max resolution with this monitor?
It's the monitor most likely. I have an old Dell 4300 Dimension with run of the mill video card. I ordered a Samsung 204B and received today. Plugged it in and switched it to 1600 x 1200 in a matter of minutes. Opened up Party, boner ensued.
