This is why I\'m +$41 over my last 157 SNGs

I've had numerous hands like this play out the same way over this 157 game span and have seen my ROI plummet from 40% to 26% with a mix of $6.50s and $16s (I play three $6.50s for every $16 to balance out the buy-in difference). I've never gone this long a time with playing basically breakeven poker. This hand isn't even the worse beat that I have suffered during this game span but it's definitely a great example. The most common street I have lost on (especially all-in plays with best hand) is the river. Also what I have noticed alot during this game span is weird and unfathomable calls both preflop and on the flop with, of course, the worse hand triumphing in the end leaving me scratching my head . I was contemplating playing a mix between the $6.50s, $16s, and $27s before this game span begin. Now I'm glad I didn't. I'm gonna have to wait a little longer for the radiant beams of good fortune to shine upon me. Flight_Risk |

Wow, that's a lot to read. I think I'm going to print it and read it in bed tonight. I want to savour this post.

Nice PF call [/ QUOTE ] It's not as nice as villain's flop all-in call. Flight_Risk |

Villain is a fish and doesn't promote himself as a tag.

[ QUOTE ] Villain called the reraise push all-in on a flop with two overcards with pocket Jacks. [/ QUOTE ] Is 10 an overcard to J now? [/ QUOTE ] My bad. I was so pissed that I had lost yet another hand like this that I typed in the wrong thing. Either way, considering it being a multiway pot, him betting 200 on the flop, Seat 9 cold calling, and then me raising all-in, something would tell me it's bad poker to call with pocket Jacks in that spot (especially with the flush draw also present). This is one of those weird calls that I speak of where I had the best hand (or had the best hand and improved even more) only to have it disintergrate on the last card. Flight_Risk |

This is why I'm +$41 over my last 157 SNGs [/ QUOTE ] You're right, but it's subtle. The reason you are only +$41 over your last 157 SNGs is not because of hands like this, but it's the thought process that leads you to think it's because of hands like this. |
