Yes, open to anyone as long as you earned 10k points the month prior to the event (couple other ways to qualify, none of them very easy)

So you're kind of late to make it for that one.

I played in one of those in May. About 700 players were entered but I'm guessing only 300-400 showed up.

I finished about 75th I think. Since the top 20 got the main-event package I consider that to be yet another one of my 'kind of' close-calls to qualify for the WSOP.

The 28 you see registered are those that won their entry via a satellite. If you are in for earning 10,000 points, or if you end up in the top 50 in WSOP points, you will be added before the tournament. Expect about 700-750 players.

Yah I got around 40th in the one in May. Lost preflop allin with AK v AQ. ... 75% chance I had an entry oh well.

I already contacted support a few days ago, they said they were forwarding my inquiry to some other department.

I think I will win an entry in the one tomorrow though.
