Default A common situation-how to proceed?

Party 2040
TAG (26/17/2,96/100)opens in the CO.
BT folds. I 3-bet in the SB with 88. BB folds. CO calls.
Flop comes 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
I bet. CO raises. I?

I am ahead here very often and obviosuly do not want to give him a free card.
On the other hand I do not want to run him off a worse pp and getting raised again on the turn would suck (especially as his AF indicates he might SB again).
What`s your plan here?
Assuming villain is still reasonable - how would his stats have to look like to change it?

sometimes i dont 3bet this outof smallblind, depends on how the game is playing, just a comment

3bet flop, lead turn, fold to turn raise, check/call river
for me not to slow down on flop, AF would have to be 1 or lower

Call down unless an ace (or maybe a king) falls is my standard. I'm not worried about a guy with these stats taking a free card on the turn, and he may even bluff the river as well.

My alternate line might be c/c turn and b/f river, but again I hate putting myself in spots against aggressive opponents, where I might fold the best hand.

I usually just call down here. He's raising with a lot of Ten's out of the CO, so I think they're a significant enough part of his range that there's not enough benefit in 3-betting, especially since he'll likely just bet a worse hand for you.

In this spot, I just check/call down, theres really nothing else you can do here. As Tommy Angelo says, "I would start playing the river" the instant the villain raises your flop bet becuz the river is now the critical street in your hand. Is the villain the type to bluff the river when it looks like your showing down? Is he the type to value bet the river very aggressively hoping you call with A-high? Is he the type that will only bet the river with Tx or better? With no reads I would check/call the river, but a good read on the villains river play can make/save you a lot of money in the long run.
