Default Vegas couple question

What's up everybody? I am planning another vegas trip (because the last one was spectacular) with my significant other. I am looking to stay in the Venetian area.

We are looking to go over labor day weekend. Any recommendations for hotels during that time period?

Also, when you want to get some poker hours in, where can you send the gf/wife in the meantime?

Thanks

TI has a good rate for the 3 nights. I heard it is [censored] however. Any thoughts?

I generally stay at TI because they seem to have a lesser requirement for the casino rate, which ends up being around 100 per weekend night. A few times they've even surprised me with comps and I dont play as many table games as I used to. I'm not sure, but I dont think they have a poker rate, but you should double check. The rooms at TI are pretty decent but basic. The only thing I care about in a room is water pressure, and they have it. How much time do you spend in your room anyway? Plus their small poker room has a lot of fish.

Also, TI is across the street from the Venetian and Wynn, and next door to Mirage and then Caesars.

BTW, when you figure out how to go to vegas with your gf/wife and get gambling time in, I think everyone would love to hear about it.
So far my top 5:
5. Get her to gamble. (last trip I gave her $100 to go play blackjack and she was gone for about 7 minutes)
4. send her to the pool. (good for a few hours)
3. send her shopping. (giving her shopping money helps a lot)
2. convince her to bring a girlfriend.
1. leave her at home. (its gotten to the point where I need to take gf trips and gambling trips. The 2 just dont mix.

I would recommend the Forum Shops at Caesars (if you don't mind racking up a LOT of debt on the credit cards). It is the nicest mall (and most successful) in the world, and all women love it. Another option is the Fashion Show mall or even the Grand Canal shoppes (but the forum shops kills all others).

Good luck!

Send her on a tour of the Grand Canyon? The donkey tour preferably.

send her to take a golf lesson... the pros are cute and will it will take up about 4 hours of her time for a lesson and 9 holes. Plus she'll be so tired from the heat... head back to the room... Pump and Dump for about 30 minutes... she'll be asleep for another 4 hours.

Sometimes those golf pros like to play a 10th hole.

The Venetian is DEFINATELY the way to go. All the rooms are suits, and the hotel is just amazing. The hotel also has an amazing pool area along with a Canyon Ranch Spa (ask your wife). Both are excellent to send the wife for the day. Also, the Fashion Show Mall and Ceasars Forum Shops are an easy walk away, provided that your wallet can cover that sort of action.
