Default Multi - Tabling Question, please help...

Right now, I play exclusively on Party and I 2-table. But I'm considering upgrading my system, and am moving towards increasing the amount of tables i play. Right now when I try 4 tables tiled with Party, the graphics are hard to read (with a 20" LCD) so I know i need a new video card. I'm actually going to be getting a whole new computer, and possibly a second monitor, or a larger 24" or 30".

Here's the question: What is the optimal amount of tables to play at once?

(1) 8 tables using 2 20" monitors?
(2) 6 tables using 2 20" monitors
(3) 6 tables using 1 30" monitor?
(4) 4 tables using 1 20" monitor?
(5) 4 tables using 1 24" monitor?
(6) 3 tables ...
(7) 2 tables ...

Please specify if you play 6 max tables or if full ring.

Thanks for the feedback.

You need to be looking at resolution, not monitor size. My 30" Dell is 1280x768res and the party lobby takes up well over half the screen, but with moderate resizing, I can fit 9 tables no overlap on my 20" with 1600x1200 resolution.

honestly, i can't even imagine how you could see nine tables at once on a 20" monitor? The tables would be tiny!

The table is a graphic; how much of it do you really need to see? The cards are always going to be viewable and pop up stats will be also. I think your problem is that you are thinking in terms of screen size and neglecting resolution, which is the important factor.

Get a good 24" widescreen, you can 4 table with room to spare and you can 6 table with moderate resizing. the good 30" lcd is $1800 and you don't even know if you can 6 table well so it's not worth it just for that.

Very good point. I've only really done two tables consistently. The odd time three, but not tiled, and not for long. Baby steps....
