Pick Me One Television Show to Watch Per Night

I am a law school student and I like to take a break and watch an hour or so of TV each weeknight. I am trying to figure out the best shows on now or starting soon to watch. I have basic cable. For now:

Monday- Six Feet Under (starting to reair on Bravo)
Tuesday- Law and Order: SVU
Wednesday- Lost
Thursday- The Office
Friday- Nip/Tuck reairs
Saturday- College Football (BC or best national game)
Sunday- NFL (Patriots and/or best national game)


Telling me to get tivo is not helpful advice. Telling me to get better cable channels is not helpful advice. Telling me better shows I should be watching is helpful. Also, I usually catch Daily Show/Colbert Report while I'm going to bed.

I would grab the DVDs for SFU and watch either Studio 60 or Heroes on Monday night.

Like the other poster said, get the DVDs if you want to watch SFU. Watching censored/commercial-broken versions of Showtime/HBO shows sucks.

Watch Studio 60 on Monday nights instead.

ur definitely not alone...numb3rs is an excellent show...i also like SVU on tuesdays...maybe csi and/or ER on thursdays?? pretty hard to dislike csi, though that might just be me...

Monday - How I Met Your Mother, 2 1/2 Men, Football (Nich monday may be good, but I haven't watched them)
Tuesday - NCIS
Wednesday - Criminal Minds, Bones, Justice
Thursday - 'Til Death or My Name is Earl/Office
Friday - Dateline Catch a Predator or Numb3rs (Ghost Whisperer if you like Love Hewitt)
Saturday - Football at some point
Sunday - Football or The Family Guy/War at Home

I agree that SFU on DVD is the way to go.

I live with my gf and we both are in school, so football sat, sun, by the time monday comes along, unless its patriots or a really great matchup, i concede MNF in favor of TV or a movie.

TV shows on DVD are your best bet. Netflix is a good option for that, so you don't have to buy them all incase you don't like one.
