top2 turns into non-nut straight.
Villain is very LAG. he raises a huge % of the pots, and plays atleast 70% of the hands. Is this standard.

Re: top2 turns into non-nut straight.
with that crazy of an opponent I guess that's my line. I'd have to ask someone else's opinoin of the turn, because that 's my only ? I definetely want to bet, because I rate to have the best hand, but what about 3/4?
check call river is the best option. |

Re: top2 turns into non-nut straight.
Call,
While it is often correct to check call versus a suspected bluff or worse hand rather than betting and running off such a hand while only getting called when beat, in this situation not only does a higher straight beat you but a backdoor flush as well. This would lead me to fold. |

[/ QUOTE ] I totally agree with you, and against a sane opponent, i fold the river easily, but this guy was crazy.(which doesnt mean he cant have a flush or higher straight here), but his range is just so HUGE here that its a must call IMO(and i might be totally wrong, im still pretty new at this). I mean obviously i have a very vulnerable hand, but if hes betting here with air or 2pr+(which is actually a very reasonable range for this guy), i think this is a must call every time. opinions?? |

Re: top2 turns into non-nut straight.
The reverse side of that wide range coin and aggro coin is that he can hit more draws, like calling the turn with bottom pair and a gutshot J9, and also slowplaying and then betting the river with nothing better than bottom set trying to get top set to fold. The key here is that all you can beat is a bluff.

Re: top2 turns into non-nut straight.
Ya i see what you mean there. Since hes so aggro he's going to float alot more and bet any scary river becuase most of the time they cant call.

Re: top2 turns into non-nut straight.
Betting a lot and playing 70 percent of the hands is one thing. The real question is, what has he shown down? Has he made this kind of river bet before without the goods?
If also would be inclined to bet the full pot on 4th street and show my commitment to the hand if I shose to play it this way. |
