Default my last hand in the 3k event (helmuth 1 outter)

this isnt really a bad beat for me, but one outters are always fun, so i figured id post it

i had about 3900 chips when i got back from the dinner break(schneids was like 2nd in chips with like 21 or 22k) and the limits went up to 400/800, i lost a hand with queens and then i had like 700 left, so i folded a few hands and get A4o UTG and put it all in

a guy 3-bets and phil helmuth calls in the BB

flop is Jxx, phil donks, guy calls

turn is x, phil bets, guy calls

river is 4, phil bets, guy calls

phil has 44 for the one outter against guys TT

i was at pretty bad tables through the whole thing(phil ivey on my left at my first one) i talked to deathdonkey and jgorham and they said they had a lot of big multiway pots and stuff and the majority of mine were heads up or 3 handed, but it was fun

i think i actually like phil helmuth by the way(i certainly wasnt expecting to) i didnt get to meet AJ go all in, but if he dosent make it, im going for phil

Newhizzle
got any recommendations for reading prior to a limit hold em tourney? I'm in the limit shootout on the 24th ( I <3 my affiliate) and I don't plave live/tournies at all and i don't want to be a totall donk and waste my time there.
i wish i was friends with Scheinds.

tolbiny,

until my stack started getting really small compared to the blinds, i pretty much just played my normal LHE game, but if you are looking for a good book that deals with limit tourneys id recomend tournament poker for advanced players by sklansky
