Default More fun with folding sets!

Villian seems pretty sensible. I was involved in a big decision on another table and my timer was running down, so I quick hit call preflop. 4-handed, this should have been a PFR from me. I'm pretty sure if villian has a King or a set or a weird two pair on the flop, he's betting.

Bet flop? Raise turn? Call river? I'm pretty sure he's got one of 4 hands: 36, 46, 25, or 57. I'm seeing most of the sixes faceup. I want to fold the river. Comments welcome.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (4 handed) internettexasholdem.com

BB ($424.39)
Hero ($123.50)
Button ($92.50)
SB ($205.55)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
Hero calls $1, Button calls $1, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($4) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks, Button checks.

Turn: ($4) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB bets $5, Hero calls $5, Button folds, SB folds.

A check from the BB with 33 or 44 on this flop with two people left to act does not seem that unreasonable to me. The slight overbet on the turn makes more sense in this light..

I can see WHY you want to fold, I'm probably not for the simple fact that our hand is very, very disquised.

At the same time, villian has no problem 3 betting the river.

But, the big factor for me in this hand is that you are getting almost 3:1 on the river call.

I think raising the turn is a good idea. But, with two players yet to act it is kind of sexy to possible get some action...BUT you don't want people drawing to a cheap straight.

After all this rambling my conclusion is this:

Raise the turn. Call the river getting almost 3:1. If villian 3 bets the turn we have a whole neither set of decisions on our hands....

EDIT: Also, what is your table image up to this point? Any recent hands to note, or history with villian?

Ridge:

FWIW, The 4 hands I put him on, I did so on the turn. The turn play is definitely in question. Going to bed now. I'm sure the LAGs will all hammer me in the morning.

You have to raise this turn IMO.

Now, meh, you may well be beat but I can't fold this river for $37 more.

I think you have to call the river. I probably would had raised the turn because of the s8 and flush draws.

You are getting almost 1:4 pot odds and you are 1:1 or 1:2 to win. A good amount of players play strong their two pair.

dardo

As pointed out 33 and 44 seems reasonable as well.
Checking the flop with a set, hoping a king bets out,
and maybe trapping some dead money seems very possible.
If we add those two hands to villains range your line should be obvious:
Raise turn, get the rest in on the river.
