getting my donkey feet wet@party 10/20
just getting my feet wet on party 10/20. i think it's all about game selection. you can find some rambo LAGs that simply play too many hands imo, though I'm not sure I found the optimal approach to playing these ultra aggro tricky guys yet.
Hand 1 game is 6 handed. It's my 2nd or 3rd orbit, and I haven't been involved much. CO is 30/11 over 100 hands, BB is 70/25 over 300 hands. Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter Button ($3161) SB ($1980) BB ($566.60) UTG ($1453.90) Hero ($2070) CO ($2907) Preflop: Hero is MP with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $10. UTG posts a blind of $20. Hero raises to $70, CO calls $70, 1 fold, SB (poster) calls $60, BB (poster) calls $50. Flop: ($280) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players) SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $200, CO raises to $400, SB folds, BB calls $1383.90 (All-In), Hero calls $1183.90, CO folds. Turn: ($3447.80) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in) River: ($3447.80) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in) Final Pot: $3447.80 Hand 2 Villain is 40/11 over 500 hands...no other info once again, about 3rd hand on the table, so not much more info. Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (7 handed) converter UTG ($1876.86) MP1 ($4211.90) Hero ($2334) CO ($4753) Button ($2541) SB ($990) BB ($2000) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $10. UTG raises to $70, 1 fold, Hero calls $70, 4 folds. Flop: ($170) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) UTG bets $160, Hero calls $160. Turn: ($490) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) UTG bets $475, Hero calls $2104 (All-In), UTG calls $1171.86 (All-In). River: ($4240.86) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 2 all-in) I feel that I really donked this one...biggest problem with turn is I am bluffing with the best hand or get owned by Qx...it's 10 handed so I should give him more respect thanks for taking the time to read...any comments appreciated. happy new year! |

Re: getting my donkey feet wet@party 10/20
i definately dont get your reasoning for calling in hand one. im mucking AA there within 2 seconds and thinkin about mucking trips.
hand 2: this is a great time for a check call check call check. its the best way to maximize value. leading the flop is bad because the pot gets bigger. |

[/ QUOTE ] In hand 1, he's thinking villain plays 75% of pots and raises 25% of the time. That is quite a move villain's pulled -- checking, then putting in the 2nd raise. Against a reasonable villain that's a good time for hero to fold. |

Re: getting my donkey feet wet@party 10/20
Can't really say I like either. 4 way raised pot in the first hand, easy for someone to have a 6. As for the 2nd hand, bruiser had a gem a while back "no read no bluff".
