i believe against an unknown you have to fold this, if you had a read and knew he was capable of doing with this say TT+ and AKs then i believe its an easy call

I'd probably fold, I definately don't think he's doing this with JJ or lower. Best case scenario, he is trying to buy the pot right there with AK, in which case it is still a coin flip.

You could be against KK, AA or AK here. Villain may just be trying to steal the bets pf. Without a read thtat he is loose, this is a tough call. If he is a nit, it is a definite fold. If he is 15/4 then fold.

Without a read, i call here. I often lose, but think that on balance i win more than i lose. it is also good for metagame. Nobody fools with you again. If it happens to you again they will have the goods then.

Villain ended up being like 34/2 although I played this hand not long after he sat down

Your way ahead or way behind. But I feal why gamble here, I don't like to take a coin flip for my whole stack-best case senerio. Save that $ for when you have a good hand and where you can use it, that way your skill makes the difference not the flip of a coin or a major suckout-when you are way behind.
