Stars 100$NL - TP2K against pf limpreraiser
Villian was 30/6/2/17 - VP$IP/Pfr/AF/WSD over about 50 hands. Figured i could only beat AK here so i wanted to see what he does on the turn. Easy fold on the flop ?

Re: Stars 100$NL - TP2K against pf limpreraiser
I know the pot odds and position were nice but please fold preflop. Reverse implied odds are no good w/ KJ offsuit. Youd be better off calling that limp reraise with a suited connector or some crazy hand than calling with KJo and playing it the way you did postflop

Re: Stars 100$NL - TP2K against pf limpreraiser
Easy muck pre-flop. The pf raise was questionably good assuming it isolates you and the villian. But, at these stakes the classic 'limp-raise' often indicates a strong hand. I would fold this 90% of the time, but I don't mind a call with a suited connector given your position.

so what was wrong with my postflop play then ? Not taking offence - just wondering, wich way would i have to play it to make this call.
p.s.: IŽd fold it pf next time anyway |

Re: Stars 100$NL - TP2K against pf limpreraiser
I don't mind your raise preflop because of fold equity, and position. On the flop I think your call is ok since almost all players on this level seem to cbet religiously. His continued aggression on the turn says to me he has a hand and it's time to fold. Looks like you played it ok.

Is pfr is low enough as it is, I'm sure his reraising range is even tighter. I'd fold this preflop unless he starts reraising me more often, or call and fold anyflop that doesn't give me a monster.

Re: Stars 100$NL - TP2K against pf limpreraiser
my thinking exactely, thought i could get his stack if the turn was a K, or take it if he shuts down with AK.
Though i could also fall in a trap if shuts down with AQ, QQ, KK, AA or gets tricky with JJ. After all i learned that a fold pf is best here. |

I think you played it fine postflop, but the results of this hand demonstrate why calling preflop is so -EV.
