Re: Star Wars: Episodes 7-9
God I hope not. If we see a quality decrease similar to what we saw going to 1-3 from 4-6, the universe will implode.

Re: Star Wars: Episodes 7-9
No. However, a TV show is in the works.
Initially, it was reported that the plot would revolve around that hot, green, female Jedi with the Medusa-style hair. Supposedly, she survives the assassination attempt by the Clonetroopers. The most recent talk is that the focus will be on the Bounty Hunters. |

[/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure how much George Lucas has actually written about the TV series. He said that his first priority was getting episodes 4-6 (the original trilogy) onto 3D. The TV series was supposed to be about Vader hunting down the Jedi that survived the assasination attempts. There's a book out about one such group, "Dark Lord" I think it's called. The hot green jedi, Aayla Secura pretty much died in Episode III. |

Are you talking about Mara Jade, who supposedly becomes Luke's wife?

Re: Star Wars: Episodes 7-9
I'm not sure we'd want Episodes 7-9 - the Emperor keeps coming back, getting killed in various ways, and is finally finished off by Han Solo with a blaster of all things. Oh, and all the happy people in Coruscant at the end of Return of the Jedi are reconquered almost immediately afterwards by Admiral Daala. Aliens from another dimension try to invade the galaxy. The end.
I don't keep up with things as well as others here, but the TV show is the last thing I've heard about that is in the works. All I heard is it was to take place between episodes III and IV. Lucas has made it clear on serveral occaisions that the Star Wars story is the story of Anakin Skywalker - his fall and redemption. Episodes 7-9 would not fit that profile. |

Re: Star Wars: Episodes 7-9
McCallum also denied rumors that the new series would focus on members of the Skywalker family, but repeated that the show will take place in the timeframe between Episode III and IV. "All-new characters," he added. "That missing 20-year period when Luke is growing up. ... Think bounty hunter. That's all I can tell you. There's nobody else that you'll know [in it]. At the moment. You know, it's still [in] really, really early stages. He hasn't really sat down to think about which direction [he's going]."
This is what Rick McCallum said in the link. I wish it was focused on Vader but that does not appear to be the case. The book you mentioned, BTW (Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader) sucked- as do all the expanded universe books I have read. I was surprised, too, with the initial speculation being about the adventures of an apparently alive Aalya Secura. That was the talk originally, though. |
