Limp/Complete in SB/OTB Question...
Sorry if this info is here, but a search of the subject line didn't bring up anything relevant.
In the HU section in HOH2, he recommends always limping in the SB and says folding is a mistake, as you're getting 3 to 1. He gives an exception, that if someone is being very aggro and raising you lots, then maybe you should drop the bottom end of the range (I think he says 30% or so). 1. Do those in this forum generally think this advice is correct? 2. What percent of the time would your opponent have to be raising your limps for you to through some away? 3. If you limp and villain minraises, you're now getting 3 to 1 to call the raise. Do you now sometimes fold the weaker hands? |

Re: Limp/Complete in SB/OTB Question...
No thoughts? Maybe this is too basic?
Because it seems like if I limp with 36o or something, then I'm gonna get donked a decent amount of time on the flop. If I don't hit at all, then yuck. If I do hit and a guy bets out, then yuck again, cause I've hit low pair. |

Re: Limp/Complete in SB/OTB Question...
1. I think it is almost correct 95% of the time, although opponent dependent.
2. ~15%, ~1/6 times. 3. yes. |

It seems that I'm often getting reraised on my limps at this rate (or near it), so I was expecting people to say something more like 30-60%. At 15%, it seems like I'd need to start being at least a little more selective in my limping... |
