Villain has been playing pretty TAG and hasn't gotten out of line as far as i have seen, this is also my first time playing with him, so i cant rule out the possibility of him making a move. My image is very tight and he definitely knows this. Is everyone letting this go or do you want to play for 150bb with an overpair? |

Re: semi-deep stacked with an overpair
TAG that hasn't been getting out of line limp/calls preflop and then raises that much on that flop? Thats not AJ ever, and a wierd semibluff not nearly enough to play for my stack here

Re: semi-deep stacked with an overpair
Fold. He probably has a set. Even if he doesn't, you only beat AJ and a flush draw semi-bluff. KK and AA are also possibilities.

Re: semi-deep stacked with an overpair
I fold here because of the read. I think that AJ of diamonds is definitely more likely than any of KK/AA, but a set seems more likely than either. Even if it's AJ of diamonds, he is only about a 60/40 dog. I will note, however, that I see a lot of LAGgy players do this large flop raise with pairs like 99 and TT as well as any AJ.
