Default ($27) Really basic preflop situation with TT

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t100 (8 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

UTG (t1530)
Hero (t1520)
MP1 (t1480)
MP2 (t1410)
CO (t1785)
Button (t1260)
SB (t3105)
BB (t1410)

Preflop: Hero is in UTG+1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG calls t100

Okay, raise or push?

If I raise, do I call a push from

a) the BB
b) UTG limp-reraise?

I'm embarassed that I don't really know this considering how easy it seems

I like a push given that you're in EP and not guaranteed to be in position if you raise and are called, having to play a big pot OOP is not ideal with tens. Also if they all fold you pick up 250 which is a lot when you've only 1500, about 15% of your stack. I'd shove.

Also UTG will likely call you with hands you have crushed if he's bad enough, or people after you for that matter. At the $27s they just don't fold stuff like 77 or whatever. Yeah it's not great if they call with KQ or AJ either but at least you're the favourite, and the overlay makes it worthwhile.

If you were CO+1 or later, I like a smaller raise, being in position is such a huge advantage.

tiger your push % what % of your stack should be in the pot to make this a push rather than a raise with big PP AK,AQ etc. What kinda hand range do you open push with. bearing in mind you have 15 BB

I don't even take note that I have 15BB here, I take note of what is already in the pot and how it can increase my stack to pick it up. I would also push with AK yes, and maybe AQ although that one's closer. Your stack size isn't of primary importance here. UTG's limp makes this like 75/150 anyway if you think about it (+25 more chips, even).

I def push JJ and AK, probably not TT though, I think it's a fairly tough spot, maybe a limp/call late position push, depending on how UTG has looked so far, and what they do.
