Default T5s UTG+1, first level one allin, against maniac, easy call?

No reads. You guys call here? Since I won the hand I think it was a pretty good call by me. I think in situations like this you have to go with your gut. I had suited cards and got great pots odds with the best hand. This was the hand that helped catapult me to the FT.

Even though your cards are suited, and it is likely that they have each other's outs, this is a debatable call, but I think its correct nonetheless. Nice hand.

All I'm saying is look at the results. I once remember reading a ZeeJustin blog entry about how he made a questionable call with KQs in a big MTT. The hand gave him chips to be able to win the tournament. I think this situation is very similar.

Am I missing something here? You were the first to call an UTG all-in with T5s.

He was a total maniac and I had suited cards. I put him on any two... I figured my cards are suited and any two can win. This move is positive expected value in the long run, no question.

Where did this hand occur/ did this hand occur?

I can't get over how great of a call you made, I like to think I would do the same, but perhaps I am just being results based.

The stacks seem to indicate that this is the first hand. How do you have a read?
