Pretend you're Sam Beckett from 'Quantum Leap'...

For those of you not familiar with the show, the main character, Sam Beckett (played by Scott Bakula), moves through time, and 'leaps' into different peoples' bodies with the goal to right a wrong that that person would otherwise have committed, or right an injustice that would have happened to that person. In the show, Beckett has no choice where he goes.

But let's say you did. You can leap in time into someone else's life, or even your own. What would you do? Where would you go? And don't say something on the scope of 'I would stop the Holocaust', because it's hard to pin that down to any one incident that you could stop from happening (that I know of, anyway). I'd actually be more interested in personal stories from your own lives.

I would leap into Steve Bartman's fathers body the day of the 2003 NLCS game 6 i believe it was, i would then proceed to kill my son.

I'm pretty sure you can stop the holocaust by killing Jesus at birth.

I wonder how many people would buy a "Jesus caused the holocaust!" bumper sticker.

Good question. There are a lot that I could probably come up with, but for some reason I thought of leaping into John Wilkes Booth's body and just staying home that night.

Now that I think about it, I should've picked one where I'm not actually the person whose actions need to be changed, since that would be too easy. I should pick like Booth's best friend and stop him from going to Ford's Theater or something.

I remember watching the episode where Sam lept into Elvis's body - that was cool.

Just be a doctor on the scene, and don't stick your fingers in Lincoln's head. See if the theory is right that the wound wasn't fatal, but the way the doctors tried to treat it killed him.
