Default Bush screws Americans at the gas pump

From the NYT: "Just 13 percent approved of Mr. Bush's handling of rising gasoline prices."

This suggests to me that 87% of America needs to take Econ 101, not that 3/4ths of them would understand even then but...

Perhaps we need to use the tried and true Jimmy Carter plan where we place a price cap on gas prices. Whadda ya think?

Its called 'being president' you get credit and blame for many things that you are not responsible for. Its part of the job.

I dispise Bush but it is not his fault for gas prices. This problem is your own responsibilty.

He takes credit when things go well that he has nothing to do with.

The Iraq war is going great, isnt it fishfl?

I personally hate it when Bush makes lots of traffic on the interstate. I wish he'd stop that. The man is sick!

[/ QUOTE ]

He did give americans a HUGE tax break for buying the largest SUVs, including suburbans and escalades.

Plus his [censored] wars are shooting the price of oil sky high.

You must be a diehard...is it getting lonely?

[/ QUOTE ]I think that Richard Nixon was the first post-war president to instigate wage and price controls, which he did, in 1971.

Richard Nixon was a Republican.

Even 13-year olds know this stuff.

I'd wager that less than 1% of government school-"educated" 13-year-olds know that.

If the poll posted in here a few days ago is any indication I'm not sure how many could tell you he was a Republican. [/end hijack]
