Wireless speaker system

I want to hook up a wireless surround sound speaker system for my dad for Father's day. Only probelm is that I don't know what equipment I need. I searched amazon for wireless speakers and it only gave me 4 results. I know that can't be right so I assume it's a seperate piece of equipment I need to hook this up. Someone help me. Thanks.

No you don't need any special equipment if he already has a receiver. The transmitter plugs into the receiver. There aren't that many choices, and most of the ones on the market suck. The good ones are pretty pricey.
