Poker as Life 101 Lesson from the Worlds Greatest Game
Well this is not a monster in the strategy category.
And the version I have is Hardcover to me This book was like a Bathroom reader....(not being a smart ass at all) Take a dump....read a rule or two. Even if you don't read the book it has almost 101 quotes from players and little funny quips that might get you a laugh at the card table. And at times there are some little strategy insights you might find. Anyway with Chapters like [censored] Happens Hoyle knew Squat Lose Your Gut Always lie never cheat No Limit is for losers (and for winners it's often no win) he's not talking about the game of NL holdem he's talking about something diffrent it's cool with the pug pearson quotes. anyway there are like 97 or so other rules and chapters and I found this to be one the funniest and entertaining books on poker I have read in a long time. When I bought the book on Amazon I thought I was going to get another one of those Zen or Tao type "life rules" books but I was wrong. This book is good and funny Author is Lee Robert Schreiber book price was like 15 bucks but it was cheaper on amazon remember it's hardcover small and perfect for your bathroom or office |

People get tired of books like this pretty fast and you can usually get a great bargain on them 'used' if you wait a while. Amazon already has some used copies for under $4.

[ QUOTE ]
No Limit is for losers (and for winners it's often no win) he's not talking about the game of NL holdem he's talking about something diffrent [/ QUOTE ] Is it the Bob Dylan song then? My love she speaks like silence, Without ideals or violence, She doesn't have to say she's faithful, Yet she's true, like ice, like fire. People carry roses, Make promises by the hours, My love she laughs like the flowers, Valentines can't buy her. In the dime stores and bus stations, People talk of situations, Read books, repeat quotations, Draw conclusions on the wall. Some speak of the future, My love she speaks softly, She knows there's no success like failure And that failure's no success at all. The cloak and dagger dangles, Madams light the candles. In ceremonies of the horsemen, Even the pawn must hold a grudge. Statues made of match sticks, Crumble into one another, My love winks, she does not bother, She knows too much to argue or to judge. The bridge at midnight trembles, The country doctor rambles, Bankers' nieces seek perfection, Expecting all the gifts that wise men bring. The wind howls like a hammer, The night blows cold and rainy, My love she's like some raven At my window with a broken wing. |
