His flop bet makes this tougher than usual. If he has any draw I can see him calling this wimpy 230 raise for 700 pot + implied odds.

Since you have no respect for him I would raise the flop a little more just because it is so draw heavy and thats his most likely hand. Either a draw, a set , or a tricky played AA, or maybe a 9. But I bet he dumps that to your RR.

Either call and re evaluate the turn, or commit yourself and play this really really fast.

Billy, it's great you recently learned what EV is.. now figure out what pot odds and implied odds are, and stop giving them to people.

Also, did you have these notes handy during the hand or did you get them after it was over? Make sure you have a good amount to go off of, too.

As to Villains holdings.. it's hard to say. His range is quite wide given his stats and the way the hand played out. I can see him leading with a flush draw, calling your girly raise, and perhaps leading again, and after you push, he has to call.

I think he has a set, though.

It seems unlikely that the villain was semi-bluffing the flop considering that the bluff aspect of the hand won't work that often. He's first to act in a multi-way pot where the hero has shown strength before the flop and it's such an obvious semi-bluffing board. He would likely get called if not raised by most overpairs here. Therefore I think his most likely holding would be a set.

All that being said Bill's bet didn't help us define the villain's hand any because if he was a donkey he very well might open semi-bluff a multiway pot and be forced to call such a small raise with either a straight draw or a flush draw. If it was a flush draw though I don't understand why he'd donk bet the turn.

Bill should have raised more on the flop; but it looks like he's beaten the majority of the time here.

I think villain had a flush draw that was improved by the turn. That's what I most often see with this pattern of betting. Something like A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (hey, now I have a pair!) or K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (hey, now I have a gutshot draw!).

By that logic, you won the hand. Risky move though.
