Default STOLEN Laptop- Possible Recovery?

Hey all,
Background- I live in a dorm and I left to take a test and didnt lock the door while my roomate was in their sleeping. When I return 3 hours latter the laptop was stolen.
I have
-Contacted police
-Filed a report with my Serial number
-Closed / changed passwords with ANY account that has money access
-Talked with my Universities internet, and they have flagged my MAC Address so that if the laptop goes on the network, the police will be notified of it's whereabouts.

---- My questions ----
Is there anything else I can do? I mean I have the Mac Address of the computer and the serial number so if there is some site I could use to locate it that would be great.
Any other suggestions on any levels would be great to .
Thanks and cheers,
-Anqew

If anyone has anything constructive to add please pm Anqew. This post seems to be a haven for trolls and has been locked.
