Default how to clean up a stinky classroom

Ok, I don't know what the deal is. My classroom really stinks. Not like a particularly foul smell, but it's just like mold or something... And it's not really overpowering, but when you walk in, you can definitely smell something kind of foul. It's one of those smells that smells kinda bad at first, but once you're in the room for 30m, you don't even notice it.

But I'm still annoyed and I want to get rid of it, but I don't know how. I've never been much of a cleaner. I have a fairly good feeling it's from the carpet (it's a fairly old carpet, and I'm sure it's absorbed a lot of gunk). Do you guys have any good suggestions for things I can use? I've tried Glade plug-ins, but that didn't really work, and besides, I want to eliminate the odor, not just mask it.

febreze type stuff really does more than just mask odors, and there are some other odor neutralizers on the market, but baking soda is good and cheap too!

Can you determine where the sell is coming form? If it is in the ductwork you might hav emold or other issues. If it's the carpet, I doubt anything short of replacing it will totally eliminate the odor.

Having said that, try Febreze, Oust and baking soda for starters.

Ok, you'll have to forgive my complete cleaning ignorance, but do you mean like putting some baking soda in the carpet, or those baking soda things that you open and put in a fridge and cleans the air? I'm confused.

He means sprinkle it on the carpet and vacuum it up. Can do wonders if the stink is not too deep.

Have each of your students wear one of these around their necks.

If that doesn't work, bring in a hot plate and cook some bacon. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm....bacon.

I recommend telling the janitor about it.

Use the little slaves you call students and have a cleaning day.
