Neteller problems
Rec'd the following email from Neteller:
Thank you for your request. With the recent passing of the US bill, we have noticed the following issues with USD bank wires: A large number of rejected USD bank wire payments sent to international destinations Bank processing delays of up to 15 business days Bank charges of up to USD $30 fee per wire payable by the bank account holder The above issues are outside of our control. However, we remain committed to providing you with the following withdrawal options: Issue a bank wire in another currency NETELLER can issue you a bank wire in Euro or GBP with a foreign exchange fee (1.9% + daily rate). Australian residents can have their bank wires converted into Australian dollars with the same fees applied. This may take up to 5 business days to complete. Please note the funds will be converted back to your bank account currency when they are received by your bank. Please enquire with your bank about any additional fees. Open a NETELLER account in a currency other than USD Your existing USD account will be closed and replaced with a new currency account. Please contact us to initiate this change. Use the NETELLER Card By certifying your bank account, we can give you a NETELLER Card which you can use to withdraw funds from ATMs anywhere in the world. To certify your bank account, we require a utility bill within the last three months and photo ID (a copy of your driver’s license or passport). Issue another USD bank wire We can issue you a USD bank wire, however we cannot guarantee that it won’t be held by the US Federal Treasury. You may contact us at your convenience to make arrangements for your withdrawal. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused you and thank you for your patience and understanding. Re: Neteller problems
Is a wire transfer the same as an EFT? Are you saying EFTs are no longer an option in the US?

Re: Neteller problems
[ QUOTE ]
There have been several threads on the issue/problem with Neteller wire transfers in USD. Bottom Line: DO NOT do Wire Transfers in USD... [/ QUOTE ] I've seen a few threads/posts on this subject. However, I don't think the best option to take as an alternative to an international bank wire has really been established. They all seem problematic to me. Personally, I'm still confused on the matter, and Neteller's support is not remotely helpful. I think one poster with experience in the matter said that doing wire trasfers in USD are still possible and the best option to take... |

Re: Neteller problems
Maybe Neteller is just doing this to cover themselves? Has anyone heard of anyone having their funds seized by the U.S. when making a transfer?
