NL50 rr pot TT as overpair
I thought about this hand the whole night. Villan was 40 / 16. I was confused by his flop call in this rr pot. He has no overpair to me there. Eighter way he has a flusdraw or a weaker pair. At the turn I thought at that time that this has to be the flush draw. But now I am not so sure. Would c / rai turn be better that c / f ? Or b / f... now that I think of it b / f would make the most sense.

Re: NL50 rr pot TT as overpair
that is a pretty big pre-flop raise with pocket T's and out of position given that MP splashed a $0.75 pot with $2. my heart sinks the moment he calls because i am out of position and playing against someone who probably has me either dominated with a bigger pair OR two overcards.
i would have bet out about at least $12 on the flop. note that if MP has something like AhKh, he has 14 outs, giving him nearly an even money call for $9.50. regardless, i would have probably folded to a re-raise and checked the turn too. I think a really tough question would be what do I do if a blank (say 8d) comes on the turn. I probably just go all in and hope MP is on a draw... |

Re: NL50 rr pot TT as overpair
Nah I think pf is ok, I'd rather play hu with that donkey in a 3bet pot than play TT 3handed out of position. And his range is fairly wide if your stats are correct.
Flop is ok too imo, maybe bet slightly more. B/f isnt an option on the turn, you have only a psb left any bet commits you. If the turn was a blank I'd just get it in, either bet it myself or c/r doesnt really matter imo. Weaker overpairs, fd, overs are all in his range. The 4h turn isn't too good obviously but I still think we could get it in (or maybe I just see them go broke with overs too often :P) |

Re: NL50 rr pot TT as overpair
pf is fine, raising 4x is standard, 3 bet size is standard. turn c/f is fine.

Re: NL50 rr pot TT as overpair
I bet pot sized on the flop. He cant really call with 99 or lower.
I would probably play the turn the same |

Re: NL50 rr pot TT as overpair
if he calls 3bets w/ 99, i don't see why he wouldn't call the flop with it. flop bet sizing isn't bad, but op i was wondering what was your plan if he shoves the flop? shoves a blank turn?

Re: NL50 rr pot TT as overpair
Preflop is standard. Bet/fold the turn against a fish.
