NL $25 flopped trips face resistance on turn
Just sat down so no reads on villain. Turn card seems innocent enough. Should I have raised more on flop?
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 5 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $8.70 hero: $24.45 Button: $31.55 SB: $16.35 BB: $24.45 Pre-flop: (5 players) hero is CO with UTG folds, hero calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB checks. Call and call river.
Qx is a more likely hand than QJ/KQ/AQ for SB. |

Re: NL $25 flopped trips face resistance on turn
Raise pre-flop, you are opening in the CO, raise it up.
Flop raise the pot, there are two draws out there, he bet only 33% of the pot and your 60% of the pot raise is weak. Bet the full pot $1.50 raise. After that I agree with gravy, when he c/r your psb on the turn, call/call. I think the pre-flop raise would make this an easier hand to read though. |

[ QUOTE ]
raise PF and re-raise turn AI [/ QUOTE ] Did this and got stacked when villian made an unlikely set of 5s on the turn. As a couple of you pointed out, if I raise preflop with a standard continuation bet the stacking might have been avoided. Although I'm guessing this player might have floated and got my stack anyway when his 2 outer card hits. |
