Default Hard Drive - Hot Car Trunk - Ok?

I have an external HD that I might be taking on a trip.

It will be in the car trunk for 24+ hours at a time.

Temps get around 95f during the day in the open; not sure how hot it would get inside the trunk.

Would this be a problem for my HD?

Thanks.

I live in a place where it gets hotter than that and I'm guessing a lot more humid. I have no aircon. Mine seem to work.

Hard drives are suprisingly robust. The operating temperatures will be stated on the drive or in the manual. These however are operating temperatures, ie when it's in use.

Are you backing up? You should be. I guess it's your back up drive but can you burn the really important stuff to a DVD or CD?
