Default First time to Windsor, got a few questions

I'm going to be going to Windsor for the first time here in about a month. Have a few questions for you regulars/residents:
1. I'm not staying at the casino, I"m using a bunch of hotel points I have. I can choose between the Quality Suites and Comfort Suites. Both say they are 'walking distance' from the Casino. This can mean different things to different people. Which one should I stay at.

2. Also would like to know a little about the poker room. What games/limits do they spread? Any regular tourneys?

3. What else is there to do in Windsor (I know about the strip clubs, but I'm going w/ my wife)? Any nice places to eat, any cool places to visit?

4. I haven't been out of the country in a long time. What kinds of ID do I need to get in/out of Canada (I don't have a passport)?

Thanks guys.

4. As of Jan 1, you need a passport to exit and reenter the US from any country, including Mexico and Canada.

I'm an occasional visitor to Windsor, so I can't answer all your questions. But

1) Don't know

2) As of a couple months ago, limit HE had all but died at Casino Windsor (3-6, not much else). However, they often have 1-2, 2-5 and 5-10 NL games going. The 1-2 game has a $100 max buyin; I think the 2-5 has a $500 max, but I'm not sure. They occasionally spread Omaha and Stud, but often when I've gone they don't have any active tables.

As for tourneys, the $100 SNG's have a very sweet rake for a live game ($10); house takes the same on the $50 SNG's. Larger scheduled tourneys, but I don't remember when. I believe there's a somewhat biggish one once per week.

3) Unfortunately Windsor kind of sucks for stuff to do. Most of the restaurants suck too IMO. The most notable exception I know of: if you like Ethiopian food, the Marathon (on University Ave. downtown) is the best Ethiopian restaurant I've ever been to.

4) You should be OK without a passport if you're not flying. The Canadian government doesn't have new rules that you need a passport, and the new US rules don't go into effect for land-based entry until 2008.

If you do want to fly, just go to Detroit and take the Robert Q shuttle over the border. It's expensive, but flying all the way to Windsor is probably much worse.

Actually you can drive into Windsor still w/out a passport.

How often does the $5-10nl game run?

The 5-10 NL goes mostly weekends. Sometimes theres omaha.
theres sng`s regularly
theres a tournament every day. alternating days of buyins of $50 and $100.
Very little limit played3-6, 5-10.
Weekends are better for limit.
1-2 NL with rake
2-5 time charge.
End of the month theres the $500 event.
this is basic info for ya. Weekends offer the best selection.
