Picking one off
2/4 6m, stacks are 550 effective
Villain in this hand is 19/13 TAG regular who I've been tangling with a bit. I've been 3-betting him quite a lot in position and hes only played back at me once when he called my 3-bet and cr'd a K high flop all in, I folded. I've been running at about 20/16 on this table. Villain opens CO for 14, I pop to 48 w/ KQo, he calls. flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet 65, he calls. turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I check, he bets 131, I call. river: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I check, he goes ai for 307, I call. |

Re: Picking one off
So you know he plays his draws this way quite often - good
- if thats not the case - not so good. |

Re: Picking one off
You never fire a second barrel a draw on the turn when a blank hits? Why not?

Re: Picking one off
looks like a total spew, id expect him to have at least AT every time but if you caught him with JTh this one time good for you.

Re: Picking one off
Don't you think he could be playing back at me here with either a draw or air a lot of the time?

Re: Picking one off
he's raising a draw on the flop a lot. i would expect to see a monster(88/aq/sometimes ak) more often than a draw/air. looks like he owned you here.

Re: Picking one off
I like it. Obv not standard, but this is a quality play no doubt. Being right in a call like this puts the fear in your opponents 10x more than showing up with the nuts all the time, or making big bluffs.
