Default Does anyone have a WiiKey?

Does anyone have a WiiKey?

How well does it work?

Would you recommend it?

Any problems associated with it?

Thanks!

Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Get it installed by a professional; it's real tricky to solder on. Loads of websites sell the products along with an install service or even sell pre-modded consoles.

There is a problem with the Wiikey that is recently emerging; rumour has it that most of the development team have left. There has been an update due for a while now that fixes a few fundamental flaws with the chip which relate to region protection and some sound issues in Game Cube games. I have a PAL Wii which wont play NTSC protected games because of this bug. There is currently no ETA on an update and it is feared it may never arrive.

...backed up games. What a [censored] joke.

WiiKey is hardware to enable morons to steal games because they suck at life.

works fine w/o any problems, I recommend it.

Dire I don't understand your anger towards people that install mod chips. I understand it is stealing, but minor guilt is a small price many people are willing to pay to save couple hundred $.

I think you will have hard time living with your self if you plan to hate on everyone that violates any copyrights law because it'll be very tough to find someone who never "steals" music/movies/games/utilities via internet this time around.

I blame the industries for relying on consumers to make the right choice because to be blunt, not many people are naive enough to pay full price for retail-anything when they can easily get the product for free. Without any incentive for consumers to make the right choice beside being morally right, it won't ever stop because it's simply human nature to seek the cheaper alternative.
