NL$50: Any way to make money here?
Very first hand at the table. No notes on the raiser or callers so I assume they aren't regs because I keep notes on them. If I raise huge I only encourage KK and maybe QQ/AK to play with me. If I raise small I give decent odds to everybody but the $15 stack.

Re: NL$50: Any way to make money here?
I make a pot size raise and go from there. Personally I like this spot you are in. Sure it's not the greatest but you obviously have the best hand.

Re: NL$50: Any way to make money here?
I'm fine with taking down a 10BB pot here with a large raise.

Re: NL$50: Any way to make money here?
Maybe I'm not THRILLED with two callers, but I'm not feeling bad about it, either. You just have to be a little more careful from here out. Unless the flop is completely dry, I will typically PSB to make sure at least one of them goes away.
Then again, you may hit the jackpot and get someone set over set. That happens and you're stacking them. |

Re: NL$50: Any way to make money here?
Two possibilities:
1) Play it normal, that means, pot size bet and go on from there or just rake in the pot. 2) This might sound a little crazy but why not try it if thats your very first hand: just shove. You have no reads on villains, but they don't have reads you on either. Maybe they think like: "[censored] maniac" and original raiser might even decide to look you up with KK, QQ, AK...wouldn't be the worst thing. And whatever happens, villains will def have a hard time to figure you out, at least in the beginning of your session... |

Re: NL$50: Any way to make money here?
I would shove because MP1 is donk 75% stack and 3xBB raise - hmm wtf . Also MP3 is shortie and he may call you any pair. If they all fold - thats fine - 10BB large pot - free money.

Re: NL$50: Any way to make money here?
Make it at least $8 to go (a pot-sized raise). After that, you should plan to play for stacks if somebody calls behind you with bet/call an all-in, or bet the flop/push or crai on turn, or whatever line works best vs who is in the hand with you. The only way you might not be playing for stacks if called is in some very unusual flop facing a lot of action from a predictable villain.
Pushing preflop is only OK if villain(s) think you are likely to do this with AK (or even TT or 89s) as often as AA/KK. In other words, if you have a hyper aggro image, then push might get plenty of action. But, in general, the pot-sized raise is probably your best move. If you make a psr, then KK probably pushes. QQ probably calls. Other pairs might opptimistically (and incorrectly) call for set value. AK might call or push. Short stacks might push with a wide range of pairs and other hands. So, raise it up to make it tempting but incorrect for others to call, and enough so that if they do call that they are pot-stuck if the flop is all low cards and they have an overpair or if they have AK/AQs and hit top pair. |

Re: NL$50: Any way to make money here?
wow, I don't see any reason you wouldn't like this spot. I love it. I'd make it $7.5 to go.

Re: NL$50: Any way to make money here?
I don't like it cuz making it $7.50 to go will get no callers.

You want no callers over 3 callers. I'd make it $7.5 to go as well.
