100NL top pair + flush draw
Villain is 26/23/4 over 150 hands. I have a note that says he is a solid, thinking TAG who plays well when I've seen his cards.
What is my turn play? I have about a pot-sized bet left. I feel like if I shove, I am only getting called by better hands, would he really call with something like A-10? Also, I definitely don't see him folding 2-pair. So, my question is...with a pot-sized bet left, Do I do anything other than shove here? I prefer a check-call.

Re: 100NL top pair + flush draw
Check raise gets worse hands to fold and better hands to call. You have good showdown value. You don't want to chase out wrose flush draws. etc...
oh yeah, i was talking about the flop. |

Re: 100NL top pair + flush draw
This guy would shove 2pr, sets, and possibly AK on the flop...you can shove and fold everything out, or you can check and let him shove with a much wider range.
Assuming that you 3bet AK/AQ (and that he knows this) preflop, he could definitely have AJ- and you could be freerolling when he shoves. |
